Coelacanth

Coelacanth adalah ikan urutan kuno diyakini telah punah di akhir periode Cretaceous 65juta tahun yang lalu. Itu sampai tahun 1938, ketika salah satu secara ajaib ditemukan di lepas pantai timur Afrika Selatan di dekat muara Sungai Chalumna. Berhubungan erat dengan lungfishes dan tetrapoda, coelacanth adalah kan hidup tertua diketahui ada. Mereka dapat hidup selama 100 tahun dan berenang pada kedalaman 90-100 meter.
